Russian Scientific School of Philosophy of Information: State and Prospects of Development

Abstract

The analysis of the history, current state and prospects of development of the Russian scientific school of philosophy of information is carried out. The structure of the subject area of Russian research in this area is considered, and it is shown that at present Russia is a recognized world leader here. The conceptual significance of the results of the Russian school in the field of philosophy of information for the formation of the modern scientific worldview of the intellectual elite, the development of fundamental and applied research in many fields of science, as well as for education systems is shown. The great personal contribution of its founder A.D. Ursula to the development of this direction was noted. Promising directions for the development of interdisciplinary research based on the achievements of Russian science in the field of philosophy of information are identified.
