The abstract, Aalto and drawing

Abstract

Entering into the abstract imagination of Alvar Aalto by analysing the article published in 1947 in the magazine Domus, entitled Architecture and Concrete Art. From the imaginative experiment of the Viipuri Library and his previous oneiric drawings, and the naturalist metaphors regarding salmon and its life journey, Aalto opens up and reveals his way of thinking without renouncing his rationalist orthodoxy.
