International protection of medical facilities in armed conflict

Abstract

The protection of the medical institutions is very important, especially in the light of armed conflicts. International humanitarian law has taken on this task, and it is worth noting that the protection of this facility is of two types: Direct, when the texts address the medical facility and explicitly encourage its protection . And protection may be indirect when it is included within the provisions of the articles that protect medical objects in general . It is worth noting that, in addition to the protection contained in the framework of international humanitarian law, the United Nations Organization also worked and through decisions issued by the General Assembly and the international security council has also worked to provide the necessary protection for this facility. But despite the above, this facility and the staff working for it are still subjected to destruction and sabotage and are targeted by the parties in armed conflicts, and the medical staff and personnel working for it are also exposed to damage and killing ... etc. This requires more efforts to provide better protection for this facility and the medical personnel working for it.
