The emergence of e-commerce technology promotes tangible, favourable changes in the manner of doing business by enterprises. Nowadays there are many well-documented benefits of the introduction of electronic commerce by SMEs. These benefits are related to the expansion of customer base, increased investments in new products, entering new markets and streamlining business activities. The aim of the paper is to show the extent to which SMEs use the potential of e-commerce.
