This work offers an interesting reflection on the necessary educational answer to the pupil’s diversity, which will be the most outstanding feature of the teaching practice in the classrooms. Thanks to this study, we will know the experience that has been carried out for the last ten years in the Duques de Nájera Institute of Secondary Education in Logroño (La Rioja), around the Social Special Guarantee Programmes, as a right teaching answer for pupils with mental deficiencies. We can also check in the next pages, how the main purpose of the Education consists in the person to whom it aims, rather than in the given subject; paying attention to this process: first of all “Who is the learner?”, second “How does he/she learn?”, and third “What are his/her interests?”. Making this approach clearly, the rest is only a helpful implement we use to reach the furthest purpose of the Education: the development of each one’s possibilities.
