Body weight is one of the important parameters of somatic and reproductive health of women. Deficiency of body mass characterized by metabolic disorders and lead to various disorders of homeostasis. Aim. Assessment of bone and mineral metabolism in 65 women with deficiency of body weight and 35 healthy women with normal weight who applied to the antenatal clinic for pregnancy planning. Methods and results. Total calcium was determined in serum with colorimetric method, inorganic phosphorus — spectrophotometric method, parathyroid hormone, osteocalcin and vitamin D total (25(OH)D) — immunochemical method with electrochemiluminescent detection. Structural and functional state of bone were studied with ultrasound densitometry. It was determined that women with deficiency of body weight had changes in the calcium-regulating system, manifested statistically significant reduction in total calcium and calcium-regulating hormones, osteopenic syndrome observed in 32.3% (95% CI 22.2–44.4 %) cases. Conclusion. Significant changes of bone and mineral metabolism occur in women with a body mass deficiency.
