Making Connections Matter

Abstract

Creating connections between students and literature allow for a deeper grasp of the narrative and more opportunities to critically engage with the text. Bringing in global literature to the classroom introduces more aspects of the text which can be made into connections, such as culture and language, to improve the literacy skills of students while providing a look into other cultures.
