The promotion of national parks as common projects to the South African populations formerly in conflict, by the park management authorities, helps here to discuss the country's transformations. It is in this context that environmental education programs, set up on parks, propound a relationship with nature that takes part in the process of National reconstruction. The citizen function attributed to these programs provides information about the logic of coexistence of «populations groups» and with the nature organized by the State. Critical environmental education offers an analysis of the social relationships of the social and political reconciliation dynamics of South African society. Reciprocally, the analysis of the South African dynamics confirms the South African dynamics confirms the scientific dimension of the critical environmental education approach.
