Padrões de citação dos estudantes de mestrado: estudo de caso de estudantes de Ciência da Informação

Abstract

This study aimed to respond to the need of the FEUP Library to acquire knowledge about the citation patterns of its master’s students. In order to meet this need a methodology was developed and validated for a bibliometric study replicable in any program of any faculty. The case study selected was the bibliographic references of the dissertations, read in 2015 and 2016, of the Master in Information Science of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto.
