Objective: to study changes in the biomechanical properties of the humerus bones of white rats after 2 months of ingestion of tartrazine in various concentrations and against the background of the defect of the tibia and to substantiate the possibility of their pharmacological correction. Material: The study was carried out on white outbred mature male rats of the reproductive period of ontogenesis with an initial body weight of 200-210 g. Results: It was found that prolonged administration of tartrazine against the background of defective tibia leads to a significant deterioration in the biomechanical properties of the humerus, manifested in low resistance applied and destructive forces and increased brittleness and brittle bones. Conclusion: the severity of the effect has a dose-dependent character (tartrazine consumption at a dose of 1500 mg / kg is accompanied by a more significant decrease in strength of bones). It is shown that the use of pharmacological correctors mexidol and selenase improves the elastic properties of the bone under the influence of tartrazine and defect, but the effect of selenase was significantly more pronounced for the action of mexidol.
