Les discussions inter-orthodoxes sur le sujet de la diaspora et la décision de l’Eglise Orthodoxe Roumaine de réorganiser ses structures ecclésiales en France et en Italie après 1990

Abstract

Using the method of discourse analysis, this paper intends to illustrate the manner in which the context represented by the inter-orthodox relations had a certain role in the Romanian Orthodox Church’s decision to (re)organize its ecclesiastical structures abroad after 1990.Using as case studies the contexts of France and Italy, the hypothesis this study uses is that without being the only explanation for the Romanian Orthodox Church’s decision to (re)organize its institutional infrastructure, the concurrence of the other Orthodox Churches over the jurisdiction of the Romanian orthodox communities had a stimulating role.
