Commentary on the ‘Toro de la Peña’. An updated version of the ‘Toro de la Vega’

Abstract

In September of 2016 the Toro de Peña will be held in Tordesillas, an spectacle without bullfighting and death in front of public, that will replace the Toro de la Vega Tournament, because of the adoption of the decree law 2/2016, of 19th May, and the estimated administrative appeal presented by the Party Against Animal Abuse against the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Castilla and Leon and the Town Hall of Tordesillas. This legislative commentary offers a description of these developments around the Toro de la Vega Tournament and how these have affected to this, leading to its prohibition and replacement by the Toro de Peña.
