Today in Italy, like in other Western countries, a considerable number of adoptions concern children coming from foreign countries. The author analyses the situation from the point of view of intercultural pedagogy. This perspective is useful in identifying the needs and characteristics of these children and for understanding what can best be done for them and their education.
