Temporalidades amazônicas: uma contribuição à Ecologia Política

Abstract

This article is focused on the multiple Amazonian temporalities. It is based on various conferences aboutthe theme. These temporalities are considered in the geological, geomorphologic, archeological and historicalpoints of view, as well as in their present expressions. Two main knowledge matrixes were considered:the recent scientific contribution and the rich knowledge proceeding from the traditional populationsliving in the region. They are evaluated concerning the political-critical thinking and in the light of thecivilization crisis. The article proposes the formulation of a new policy for the region based on the dialogbetween traditional and scientific knowledges.
