This article identifies changes in the reproductive behavior of women of fertile age in the Republic of Uzbekistan and factors affecting the growth of fertility in 2016-2021. Current trends in the situation of families determine demographic development in the regions and in the republic as a whole, since it is the family, its structure, the health and education level of its members, the financial situation and the stability of the family that largely determine the dynamics of the demographic situation. Today Uzbekistan stands on an important demographic frontier. The growth of labor resources with a moderate demographic load will create favorable conditions for economic growth – the so-called demographic dividend. It can have a significant positive impact on the growth of family incomes and the reduction of poverty. As a result, most of the country's national income can be directed to consumption, production and investment, which, in turn, will give an impetus to development.
