Global shifts of the world political system and withdrawal from the European Union push British leadership to develop new trade markets and seek new strategic allies in different regions. At the final stage of Brexit negotiations Theresa May calls attention to African market perspectives highlighting UK trade opportunities after leaving the EU. On August 28-30 Th. May visited South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya – three former colonies and current members of the Commonwealth of Nations. London considers these countries as key partners in trade, investment and security. The author analyses the main outcomes of UK Prime Minister African tour in context of UK foreign policy priorities
