Writing as a process, not (solely) product in secondary school. From the Manifesto of the Writing Process by Donald M. Murray to the Workshop as a method
Abstract
This paper examines traditional written composition, as commonly taught in Italian upper Secondary Schools, and copares them with the Writing Process as described by the well-known journalist and professor of English Donald M. Murray in his article published in 1972 and considered the Manifesto of Writing workshop, a pedagogical model also recently adopted in numerous Italian classes.
