The ideal form in the human personality’s development
Abstract
An innovative psychological concept of «ideal forms» is analyzed in the article. The views of L. S. Vygotskyi on ideal forms are carefully investigated within general ideational context of cultural-historical psychology. The existence of the special ideal form that appears in intersubject cooperation is grounded. The intersubjectness is examined as an ideal form necessary for psychical development of a person. This ideal form is necessary to be managed (transferred into dimension of self-regulation possibilities). It is proved that intersubjectness also assumes intercommunication with other ideal forms, creating conditions and possibilities for psychical development. The article analyses how intersubject relations expand potential of human development by forming and extending proximal development zones. It is mentioned that intersubject relations create an ideal form and possibilities for the development of participants’ subject qualities. The process of specification and embodiment of ideal forms is described as certain personality changes through intersubject relations. The specific of intersubject cooperation as the special form of cooperative-distributed activities, where personality variables are very meaningful, is studied. It is underlined that motivation «to participate in intersubject cooperation» can determine patterns of interpersonal communication. The following substantial feature of intersubject cooperation is investigated: in these mutual relations each participant assumes other’s subjectness reciprocally to his/her own subjectness being recognized. The conclusion is drawn, that «ideal form» concept not only explains some wellknown psychological regularities, but also opens wide horizons of future researches in psychology of human development.
