TURKISH CULTURE LIGHT IN BULGARIA: NURTEN REMZİ

Abstract

Bulgarian Turks’ literary and cultural activities have added more vitality since 1989. Nurten Remzi, opening her eyes to the world in “Şumnu” city which is located in the northeast of Bulgaria and pronounced as “Şumen” in Bulgarian, is an important name efforting to keep alive the culture of Turkey in Bulgaria and transfering it to new generations. In this study, it is mentioned about culture, art, education, folklore and literary after short information about Nurten Remzi’s life. She started to her poem experiments at an early age and examples from her poems reflecting her life philosophy are given in Nurten Remzi’s first poetry book named Kavgamı Seviyorum. In additon, it has been touched on Remzi’s other book studies.
