Aim: The scope of this study is to compare the tensile strength of novel glass powder based concrete and conventional concrete. Materials and Methods: The experiment is splitted into two groups. Each group includes 18 different samples.Group-1 is conventional concrete and Group-2 is novel glass powder based concrete. In concrete, fine aggregate is partially replaced by 20% of glass powder. The pretest power is determined with 80% and with alpha value of 0.05 and confidence intervals are 95% respectively.Tensile strength tests were performed using cylinder specimens with universal testing machine (UTM).Results: Using the help of The T-test for independent samples was run using SPSS software version 21.Concrete with novel glass powder had a mean tensile strength of 4.5422Mpa and conventional concrete's 3.4467Mpa.The SPSS carried out significance was p=0.000 (p<0.05).This shows that the two approaches have a statistically significant difference. The standard deviation is 0.32380, 0.28304, and the standard error is 0.07632, 0.06671.Conclusion: Hence,When novel glass powder based concrete is used the tensile strength of the concrete has more strength than conventional concrete.
