Approach to the development of the methodology for evaluating and ranking variant solutions in equipping the Yugoslav Army with armament and military equipment

Abstract

One possible approach to the development of the methodology for evaluating and ranking variant solutions in equipping the Yugoslav Army with armament and military equipment (AAİE) has been given in the paper. The complex problem of choosing a variant of Yugoslav Army equipping with AME can be successfully solved by the expert evaluation method and the multicriteria ranking method. Two approaches to solving the given problem have been defined - ranking variant solutions with and without previously imposed criteria. Possible criteria for evaluation and ranking of variant solutions have been given in the form of examples. In both cases the expert evaluation of generated variants is necessary to be performed. One possible procedure of expert evaluation has been developed with the special emphasis on the phases in choosing experts, together with competence coefficients determination and treatment of expert analysis results.
