Rossolimo–Melkersson–Rosenthal syndrome in 14 years old child with Down`s syndrome. Case report
Abstract
Rossolimo–Melkerson–Rosenthal syndrome is not so often diagnosed in childhood. It is noted that children's syndrome occurs as a monosymptom in the form of macrocheilitis. The clinic of the syndrome can be aggravated by other somatic abnormalities, for example, the presence of Down's disease in a child. In this disease, a prominent place is occupied by changes in the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, tongue, lips. Recurrent cracks appear on the lips, most sharply manifested by the period of puberty. Treatment of patients with Rossolimo–Melkerson–Rosenthal syndrome in combination with Down's disease is usually carried out by doctors of various specialties (dermatologists, dentists, neurologists)
