On a virtual shelf – selected publications of the Digital Library of the Medical University of Warsaw

Abstract

This article contains information on the selected medical publications, printed in 1611–1928, digitized by the Digital Library of the Medical University of Warsaw. The publications held in the Main Library as well as research centers and academic units of the Medical University of Warsaw are presented in a broad context – taking account of the content, historical background, biographies of the authors, as well as publishing and artistic issues.
