Confluencias y divergencias en el juvenilismo intelectual de Manuel Ugarte a comienzos del siglo XX

Abstract

This work concerns two of chronicles which Manuel Ugarte published in Paris in the early 20th Century. Spreading different meanings, topics and performances related to heterogeneous credos (scientific, socialist arielista), this discourse deploys a tension between autonomy and heteronomy. We aim to find, in the context of the Uruguayan Rodo’s discourse, Ariel, the specific traits around the youth construction and its issues in the emerging Latin-American intellectual field.
