Performance and emission analysis of OilJFWPB recovered by the oxidative thermal degradation of the mixture of waste polyethylene and Jute
Abstract
Five blends of OilJFWPB were prepared with diesel and used as fuel in Kirloskar4 stroke IC engine to investigate the performance and emission characteristics at different engine loads. According to the GC/MS analysis, on the basis of the molecular structure the tentative average chemical formula of the OilJFWPB was calculated as C17.14H34.1401.85N and the theoretical air-fuel ratio of the OilJFWPB for the complete combustion was found to be 12.13. It was reported that EGT, BTE, ME increases and BSFC decreases with increase in load. It was also reported that NOx emission increases and CO emission decreases with increase in load for each blend of OilJFWPB as compared to diesel.
