Development of a library information management system

Abstract

Under limited resources, developing a Library Information System presents a pertinent challenge for many educational institutions and libraries. This article describes the implementation of a project to create a functional and efficient system capable of automating key library processes such as reader registration, book collection management, information search about readers and books, and control over the return of literature. Existing systems are considered analogues, and a justification for the proprietary development is provided. As a result, the Library Information System based on open technologies was developed. The project implementation demonstrated that even with financial and technical constraints, it is possible to create an effective solution for automating library processes, significantly improving the quality of library work.
