Objective: to evaluate the efficacy of long-acting melatonin in EMERCOM employees with sleep disorders (insomnia) associated with desynchronosis.Patients and methods. 30 patients (EMERCOM employees) having manifestations of desynchronosis-associated insomnia were examined using the following tests and questionnaires: the short-term verbal memory test (five words test); the modified point subjective sleep characteristics scale; the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale; the Screening Dysfunctional Beliefs and Attitudes Scale; the symbolic-digital coding test; individual sleep diaries.Results. According to the tests and questionnaires, the treatment resulted in a statistically significant improvement in sleep quality and indicators of short-term memory and cognitive functions (attention concentration) and a reduction in anxiety and depression.Conclusion.
