Vulnerability or resistance? An overview of the issue of children’s food consumption permeated by marketing and media
Abstract
In this paper we approach the relationship between children’s foodconsumption and the strategies of marketing and media. From the perspective of cultural studies, we prepared a documental overview of the issue in Brazil today, articulating the views of parents, educators, organized civil society, government, legislators, professionals of industry and media. Finally, we discuss aspects that balance the views of vulnerability and children strength in front of this theme.
