Stromal tumor of the duodenum revealed by massive bleeding: A case report

Abstract

Introduction - Gastrointestinal stromal tumors of duodenal localization are rare. Most often, they are found incidentally or are manifested by chronic digestive symptoms with anemia, pain or abdominal mass. However, massive digestive bleeding is an unusual mode of disclosure and poses a real problem of diagnostic and therapeutic management.Observation - We report the observation of a duodenal stromal tumor, revealed by a digestive hemorrhage of great abundance with hemodynamic repercussion in a 37 old year man.
