Presentation and Evaluation a Knowledge Management Implementation Model for Dana Insurance Company

Objective: Knowledge management is one of the effective strategies to gain a competitive advantage. Implementing of knowledge Knowledge management in an organization requires attention and design of a model appropriate to the specific conditions and contexts of the organization. Insurance companies are among the knowledge-based organizations that can gain the opportunity to progress as much as possible by implementing knowledge management. In such a way that if successful implementation of knowledge management, in terms of quality and performance of their services can gain a competitive advantage. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to design a knowledge management implementation model for Dana Insurance Company as one of active Company in Iran insurance industry. Methodology: The present study was an applied study that was conducted by survey method. The statistical population of the study was 1761 experts and managers of Dana Insurance Company, of which 317 people were selected as members of the sample using simple random sampling method. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data. Data analysis and model fit study were performed by structural equation method with the help of Amos software. Findings: Based on the obtained results, it was found that the model has a sufficient fit to the data. The final knowledge management model for Dana Insurance Organization includes five main dimensions. Each dimension has its own components. The causal conditions include three components in the form of Creating organizational memory, the importance of intellectual capital, and the insurance industry environment. The Contextual conditions include four components in the form of human resource development and improvement, knowledge-based evaluation system, higher and supervisory institutions, and management and leadership; The intervening conditions include two components as human factors and intra-organizational factors; strategies and actions dimension including three components in the form of knowldege management infrastructure preparation, knowledge discovery and collection, and knowledge documentation; and the consequences include five components in the form of increasing the productivity of the organization, creating a knowledge-based organization, functional and economic growth of the organization, improving the share of insurance in the growth of the economy and improving the human resources performance. Conclusion: The results showed the knowledge management implementation model as a reference and pattern for Dana Insurance Company includes five main dimensions and 17 components. Therefore, for the successful implementation of knowledge management in Dana Insurance Company, special attention should be paid to these factors. Among the five dimensions of the knowledge management model, the dimension of consequences has the first rank and the causal condition has the last place.
