Twenty-year trajectory of the Center for the Development of Social and Humanistic Sciences in Health

Abstract

The paper aims to value the progress of the entity in its twenty-year trajectory in the framework of the social sciences in health. The methods used were the bibliographic review of various sources such as the entity's documents, books, master's and doctoral thesis, and journals and newspapers. These include: Higher Medical Education, University of Havana and Granma, and the interview with manager and founder of the entity. It highlights a strategy supported by the scientific policies defined in the country, which have been tempered to local reality in a specific framework. This is done by a collective attached to its scientific-methodological task and a stable direction.
