Liners mounted in shaped charges, used mainly for piercing of armours in military applications, are made of plastic metals, mainly from copper. Authors have implemented small-caliber shaped charges used in oil industry, consisting liners made of sintered metal powders. Applying flash rtg technics, has been proved that jets generated by powder liner were regular (straight and uniform) and have had high capability to perforate a steel barrier. Positive results of studies encouraged to apply a powder metallurgy technology to manufacture spherical liners for using in EFP charges. In the paper the main differences between properties of charges with conical and spherical liners were described. Technology of spherical sintered powder liners was tested. Several metallic powders were used for examining the idea of manufacturing uniform and multi-layers liners. Heavy liners consisting by mass majority of tungsten powder were produced. As results of technological works the lot of 45 mm in diameter spherical powder liners were manufactured and a lot of model EFP charges were elaborated.
