The existence of social media provides a convenient chance for people to communicate with their families or make new friends without the limitation of time and space, which facilitates the process of globalization to some extent. Recent research has demonstrated that many international students use social media to adapt to their new lives in foreign countries because it can help them connect with families and friends back home and in their host countries. This essay aims to explore the impact of international students’ social media use on their intercultural adaptation and provide valuable implications for language teaching and learning.
