Abstract

InterpellatIonor autonomy. thecaseof nIkkeI IdentItyInthe argentInean-Japanese communIty. The concept of na-tion related to the migratory predicament is analyzed. In a theoretical point of view, an ideological interpellation figure is recovered, raising two possible deflections: identification and the concerning interpellations. In the empirical research, Nikkei identity is studied as an his-torical phenomenon of Japanese migration to Argentina. Thus, the question about the way in which national interpellations on immigrants and their descendants operate is raised. Finally, a debate on the way in which communitarian institutionality at an intermediate level can create conditions of autonomy
