Postherpetic pseudohernia: A rare complication of herpes zoster
Abstract
Abstract Herpes zoster (HZ) is caused by the reactivation of the varicella‐zoster virus (VZV), which has the ability to remain latent in neural tissue. We report a case of a rare complication, abdominal pseudohernia, developed in a 63‐year‐old woman, caused by the partial protrusion of the abdominal wall due to paralysis of the muscles.
