Pandemi Covid-19: Dampaknya Terhadap Mental dan Kebugaran Jasmani Atlet Dayung
Abstract
This research was motivated by the increasing cases of COVID-19 which resulted in the limitation of activities outside the home so that it disrupted the routines that athletes usually do every day. This study aims to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental and physical fitness of rowing athletes. The method used is a survey research method with a population of 32 rowing athletes in Kuningan Regency. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of 10 athletes participating in WEST JAVA PORPROV 2022. In this study, the instruments used were the mental health inventory (MHI) to measure mental health, the Cooper Test to measure physical fitness, and the Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) to measure the impact of COVID-19. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the ANOVA regression data with a significance value of 0.01 < = 0.05 so that the hypothesis can be accepted. Where the results state that there is an impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the physical fitness of rowing athletes, then the ANOVA regression data test has been carried out with a significance value of 0.04 < = 0.05 so that H1 can be accepted. Where the results state that there is an impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mentality of rowing athletes.
