The obstacles and difficulties that Catalan writers suffered under Francoism are well known, but the specific conditioning that the Women writers had to endure under a sexist and imperialist regime has not yet been studied in depth. This work aims to approach this collective experience through the example of the Valencian writer Carmelina Sánchez-Cutillas (Madrid, 1921-Valencia 2009), who was able to create a work of great aesthetic value while being strongly committed to the recovery of language, history and literature, as well as opposed to social injustices and female submission. The unpublished documentation that illustrates this intersectional approach to her career allows us to grasp the literary and social importance of this author.
