Gestão democrática e autonomia da escola no período de 1974-75: as ambiguidades de um processo na perspectiva do Movimento de Esquerda Socialista (MES)
Abstract
This paper starts with a reflection about the State role and the centrality of education for social and educational change in the revolutionary times that follow the 25th April 1974; in a second moment, and from the perspective of a left movement (MES), expressed in its newspaper, the ambiguities of the democratic management of Portuguese schools are made visible. Next, the analysis focuses the autonomy concept and its centrality in this Movement discourse as well as the critiques and proposals for the organizational configuration of the democratic management model. Finally, it will be referred the students fight in the educational terrain, namely at the classroom level.
