Constitutional Reform Between the Inevitability of Democratic Transition and the Necessity of Achieving Stability for the Political System (the Algerian Constitutional Reform of 2020)
Abstract
Abstract: In this study, we move from the traditional understanding of constitutional reform towards an epistemological comprehension of the intellectual and practical foundations of constitutional reform and its alignment with the developmental and political realities of the state, whose legitimacy is measured by the democratic nature of its constitution. This approach focuses fundamentally on the dynamics of society in its various structural, political, and economic aspects. Here, reform is an essential interactive process for building a democratic system that contributes to achieving stability and enhancing transparency and justice. At the same time, it is crucial to provide guarantees that this process is carried out in peaceful and balanced ways to avoid any negative impacts and disturbances on the political system. Keywords: constitutional reform, democratic transition, political stability.
