The article presents an analysis of the results of career guidance work with potential applicants of higher education institutions of the North Caucasus Federal district. The technology of work in the online format in the field of professional orientation of students of final classes or programs of secondary vocational education with disabilities is disclosed. Special educational needs are described, on the basis of which special conditions of the organization of higher education that can meet them are indicated. Recommendations for choosing a profession are presented, taking into account special educational needs, psychophysical opportunities for each nosological group, as well as taking into account the professional type of potential applicants with disabilities.
