“Diplomacias y soberanía”. Argentina y Gran Bretaña (1982-1989)
Abstract
The Falklands War changed diplomatic relations between Argentina and Great Britain. In any case, the progress that took place before and after the conflict were insufficient compared to the main objective of Argentina: to talk about the Falkland Islands sovereignty dispute. This, in turn, boosted an “informal” diplomacy. The “flexibility” and the willingness to talk promoted fruitful informal meetings where both positions had, as a fundamental objective, to reconcile positions.
