The article proposes a comparative analysis, of an overview nature, of children’s and youth works of two very important authors of Galician and Brazilian literature systems - respectively Agustín Fernández Paz and Lygia Bojunga. The biographical features of the two writers, according to a continuous game of distances and mainly of approaches, are addressed, as well as a wide range of thematicformal topics that embody the literary project of both, with particular emphasis on the comment of Fernandez Paz, less well known in Brazil than Bojunga. This is based on the generational method of Karl Mannheim, which allows a greater epistemological flexibility when it relies more on socio-political-cultural processes, that is to say, on agents that intervene on communication of a literary system, than on chronologies and ideologies. Among several topics discussed, pointing the work of the two authors, it can be mentioned, to highlight the painstaking handling of narrative forms and records, the exploring of the fantastic-realist trend; inter-textuality; the frequent use of peritexts; female protagonists, the taste for taboo topics; and social criticism.
