The interconnection between Spanish and Portuguese literatures during the 16th and 17th centuries is posed in terms of literary and critical reception, considering the influences, the imitations, the translations, the themes and the common techniques and the bilingual authors, all of them problems of increasing critical attention. This volume compile studies that select authors and representative works of theater, poetry and prose, to offer together a contribution that demonstrates the operability of this Hispanic-Portuguese community in literary creation.
