Collection of Scientific Works "Thermal Stresses in the Elements of Turbomachines" (Founder - Academician A. D. Kovalenko) - the Period of Formation (1961-1962)
Abstract
The article analyzes the dynamics of the authors and the thematic range of articles presented in the issues of collections of scientific works Thermal stresses in the elements of turbomachines for 1961-1962, which are stored in the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine and are the important sources for studies of the history of domestic scientific schools on thermomechanics of deformable solids under academician A. D. Kovalenko’ scientific guidance. In the issues published in 1961 and 1962, the reports of the participants of the Scientific meeting on thermal stresses in rods, plates and shells in relation to turbine construction (Kyiv, June 6-7, 1960) and the Scientific meeting on thermal stresses in the elements of turbomachines (Kyiv, June 6-8, 1961) were published. An increase in the number of authors involved in the issues (from 17 to 22) and reports presented (from 15 to 18), expansion of the geography of authors and research tasks was determined. In total, 34 authors took part in two issues of the collection Thermal stresses in the elements of turbomachines, they presented 33 reports. Both issues present the reports of researchers from the Institute of Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR, Shevchenko KSU, Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of the Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR, Chelyabinsk Mechanical Engineering Institute. To the representatives of CAHI, Dzerzhinsky Heat Engineering Research Institute, Lomonosov Moscow State University, MPTI in the second issue joined scientists from the Blagonravov Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Academy of Sciences of USSR, the Institute of Materials Science of the Central Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, the Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy, the Aircraft and Missile Engine Design Bureau (Kuibyshev).
