La construcción de la ciudad liberal: Madrid, 1859 y las propuestas de nuevos barrios
Abstract
The analysis of the four proposals presented to Isabel II by Giraud Daguillon allow for comprehension of the contradictions inherent in the construction of the city in 19th-century Madrid. The coincidences and divergences from Enlightenment urbanism and with Castro’s expansion are here studied in depth.
