The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the main parameters (temperature, pressure and reagent concentration) on the recovery of the nickel present in the residual liquor from the sedimentation process of nickel carbonate. This element is recovered by applying the precipitation process in a tubular reactor of flow piston to bench scale, for decreasing the precipitant agent (ammonium hydrosulfide) and obtaining the maximum recovery of nickel sulfide way. The method used for the experiment was the factorial method at two levels and the statistical equation that characterizes the process, was obtained, showing the influence of the independent variables in descending order: pressure, temperature and reagent concentration. More than 97% of Nickel is recovered, reducing the pollutant load to the environment; the calculations made show that the experimental treatment is technically feasible and economically plausible.
