The duplicity of action in the philosophy of Giuseppe Capograssi, in the light of Luigi Giussani's notion of elementary experience
Abstract
Giussani's insistence on the critical scope of experience led me to Capograssi's philosophy. He repeatedly alludes to an order of profound principles and evidences, the light of which enables the subject to see things in their truth, goodness and beauty. The relationship between these Viquian ideas and Giussani's notion of elementary experience, on its double ontic and ontological level, is evident in the duplicity of action which, beyond its immediacy, is nourished by a vis veri, the true driving force of the individual, of that metaphysical self which is more than it appears to be
