This paper summarized the nursing experience of non-invasive ventilation in prone position for a patient with acute respiratory distress syndrome combined with COVID-19. Key issues in nursing management included nursing assessment in the whole procedure of non-invasive ventilation in prone position, infection prevention, management of body position and tube, skin care, health education and so on. In the early stage of COVID-19 complicated with ARDS, non-invasive ventilation in prone position can not only effectively reduce the tube intubation and improve hypoxemia, but also reduce the labor cost and level of difficulty in nursing, reduce the workload and exposure time of medical staff, and reduce the risk of infection among medical staff.
