Auto del Nacimiento, de Gaspar de Mesa, autógrafo e inédito (1607)

Abstract

Edition and study of the Auto del nacimiento [nativity play] by Gaspar de Mesa, an unpublished handwritten work dated 1607 and signed by its author, which received censures as well as approval in Madrid, 1607. Written in verse, it dramatizes the New Testament story of the birth of Christ with a celebratory and catechetical aim.
