Purpose. To study a clinical efficiency of diod laser transscleral cyclophoto-coagulation (TSCPC) stopped preliminary a high level of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with phacomorphic glaucoma (PMG) during preparation for cataract phacoemulsification.Material and methods. The study included 68 eyes with the PMG and a high IOP level not lowered with medicaments. A part of patients had the pain syndrome, keratopathy became perceptible. The TSCPC was performed in all patients with application of the ALOD-1 device, Russia. Results and discussion. All patients had a good tolerance of the TSCPC surgery. On the 1st day the IOP level considerably decreased in all eyes – from 15 to 26mmHg from the initial one (mean 21.5±0.3mmHg). The pain syndrome was stopped in all eyes.Conclusions. Application of the TSCPC is effective in PMG case with a non-stopping high IOP level that allows to use this operation for IOP lowering before phacoemulsification.
